We really liked the Cedar Chalet and the layout was somewhat similar to our dream plans, it was larger in square footage and roughly half the cost. It has been a joy from the first day of walking on the lot and working with sales, management, and service of New Castle. It has been a pleasure to show off our home to friends and family and to be able to recommend the houses that New Castle offer and the effort that the New Castle team puts forth.
Once they get past the “trailer” mentality, they start to truly appreciate the quality of the work. We really love our house and feel that it is well-built. My husband, Mike, is a real-estate appraiser and says that the quality of the house is probably better than most stick-built houses out there. This is due to the fact that the majority of it was produced in an environmentally-controlled factory , versus being built at the mercy of the weather outside. We have already decided if some disaster would destroy our house, we would have the same house built for us again. Everyone comments that they can not believe it is a modular home, they think it was stick build until we tell them different.
